Nashville Predators star goalie Pekka Rinne withstood a flurry of shots when the Dallas Stars during an extended power play in the second period, which inspired his teammates to get the win for him.

The Predators took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series on Monday night after Mikael Granlund scored the game winner after an incredible save from Rinne who stopped 40 shots in the 3-2 victory.

However, some Stars fans have noticed that one referee was pretty adamant on protecting the Predators’ netminder.

With the Preds leading in the last minutes in the third period, the Stars tried their best to tie the game, however, Rinne was having none of it.

One clip from Streamable emerged when Dallas star player Alexander Radulov tried to retrieve the puck near Rinne, the whistle was blown. The Russian forward still went at it, which prompted the official to tell him to f**k off - excuse my French.

Radulov and the Stars were furious since it didn’t look like the puck was under Rinne’s control, but the official had spoken.

The NHL reminded players and coaches that they are constantly being filmed during games and should be careful with their language as microphones are everywhere.

Clearly, they should have notify the referees as well…

Some officials are getting in hot water today. According to a report from Toronto’s TSN 1050 radio, the NHL has spoken to and reportedly reprimanded the on-ice officials from Game Two of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ and Boston Bruins’ first round playoff series.

The game, of course, went completely off the rails and culminated in Leafs forward Nazem Kadri crosschecking Bruins forward Jake DeBrusk in the face.
