It all happened very fast in the game between the Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche, but it still has us questioning the entire sequence.

During the second period of the game last night, Avalanche defenseman Ryan Graves delivered one of the biggest hits of the season on forward Alex Chiasson, who was left shaken up on the ice wondering what train hit him.

Immediately after the check, Oilers defenseman Adam Larsson, who unfortunately made the suicide pass that led to Graves’ hit, elbowed T.J. Tynan in the face in retribution.

While Chiasson headed to the concussion protocol and was ruled out for the remainder of the game, he was joined by Larsson himself who was ejected from the contest for his elbow.

That’s right: Larsson earned himself a five-minute major and a game misconduct, which seems to be pushing it for the officials. We get it, we are trying to get this dangerous moves out of the game, but this is just a blown call!

Check it out:

The Oilers managed to kill off the five-minute power play, but still ended up losing 4-1 to the Avalanche.

Some people are wondering if Larsson will get a call from the Player Safety. He has never been suspended in his career. Tynan was not injured on the play.

What are your thoughts on the call?
