This was a performance for the ages. In 1991 the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the San Jose Sharks 10-2. 8 of those goals were scored in ONE period! 

This was a franchise record for the Penguins and will be remembered for many years. In today's NHL, a 6-0 game is very rare as the game has evolved and goals are harder and harder to come by.
