After bouncing around the NHL the past few seasons, he’s looking for some stability.

Hot on the heels of signing former New York Ranger Kevin Klein to a contract, the ZSC Lions of the Swiss National League have reportedly inked another former Blue Shirts player to a new deal. Early reports indicate that 26 year-old forward Brandon Pirri has signed a deal with the club. Details of the contract have not been made public, but it’s believed to be just a single season commitment.

In 60 games for the Rangers last year Pirri managed eight goals and 18 points. The former 2nd round selection of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft managed 22 goals in just 49 games back in 2014-15 with the Florida Panthers, but has failed to maintain any consistency throughout his NHL career.

With stops in Chicago, Rockford, Florida, Anaheim and New York during his pro career, his latest opportunity will be his first overseas. And, because he’s just 26 years-old, don’t count out an NHL return for the 2018-19 season if the sniper can rediscover his scoring touch abroad.
