Report: Another high profile RFA negotiating with European team

In case you missed the news last week, unsigned Toronto Maple Leafs restricted free agent Mitch Marner has had contract discussions with Swiss based team ZSC Lions.

Now, it looks like another high profile RFA may be following in Marner’s footsteps as NHL insider Chris Johnston reports that Colorado Avalanche star Mikko Rantanen has signed a contract with Storhamar in Norway.

It’s assumed that Rantanen’s deal with Stormhamar has an out-clause if and when he signs a deal with the Avs.
