Report: Big update on Carey Price this morning.

If I were superstitious I might think that fate had conspired against the Montreal Canadiens to keep Carey Price out of the line up to start the season, prolonging his agonizing absence from play that began early last year.

There was finally some good news yesterday as Price skated for the first time since the Habs claimed he was suffering from a very serious flu, and while initially the report this morning from Sportsnet Eric Engels suggested Price had taken a step back and was not on the ice with his team, he did eventually show up and practice with his teammates.

It's still unclear what his actual status is, and the reports from the Habs regarding his illness have been suspicious at best making it even more difficult to ascertain when a return to action could come for Price. 

We will of course continue to monitor this story.
