REPORT: Blackhawks Main Objective
NHL.com

All things considered the Chicago Blackhawks have still managed to put away some early wins during the 2016-2017 NHL regular season.

Although they have been able to find the back of the net they still have a major issue that needs to be addressed before it lingers on too long into the regular season.

Last season in seven games the Blackhawks were shorthanded a total of 18 times but they only let in 3 goals. This season the numbers are staggering as the Blackhawks have let in a total of 14 power play goals for the opposing team out of 26 times shorthanded.

Not only have they been weak on the PK but they have also been giving up penalties like there is no tomorrow.

Rookie Tyler Motte has given up 5 minor penalties on his own so far leading the Blackhawks in time spent in the box.

It is still early and the Blackhawks have time to adjust their performance on the PK.

They are putting up great numbers and it would be a shame to miss out on a great season because of an issue that never seemed to be a problem for the Blackhawks before.

Cheer on the Chicago Blackhawks as they take on the New Jersey Devils this Friday at the Prudential Center at 7:30 p.m. (ET).
