The Boston Bruins have announced a relatively minor deal.

Insider Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports is reporting that the Bruins have signed Colin Miller to a two year contract extension worth a total of $2 million for an average annual value of $1 million.

Miller would go on to appear in 42 games for the Bruins last season after being acquired in the trade that sent forward Milan Lucic to the Los Angeles Kings, and put up 3 goals and 13 assists and an even plus minus differential over that stretch.

The length of this deal may be worth noting, as Miller may be a player whom the Bruins decide to expose to the expansion draft at the end of the season.

Teams like the Vancouver Canucks have already begun making such moves.
