Report: Bruins finally get some good injury news

According to a report from Boston Bruins insider Joe McDonald of The Athletic, veteran Bruins forward David Backes will make his return to the lineup this Saturday when the Bruins take on the Nashville Predators in Nashville.

Check it out:

David Backes will be back in the lineup against the Predators on Saturday in Nashville.

The 34 year old Backes has missed five consecutive games with a suspected concussion. In seven games this season the big winger has gone pointless. Backes is hoping for a bounce back season after putting up just 14 goals and 33 points in 57 games last season, his lowest point total in a decade.

While Backes’ return may not be the news that Bruins fans were hoping for, it does help lighten the team’s injury woes a bit. The team remains without the services of Charlie McAvoy, Kevan Miller, Matt Grzelcyk and rookie Urho Vaakanainen.
