A lot has been said about the UFA market today, from huge deals with superstars to smaller contract with depth players. UFAs are pretty straightforward to deal with, with negotiations going on openly. However, restricted free agents (RFAs) are a bit different, as their former team have the choice to match any hostile offer presented to their player if a qualitative offer was made up front.

None RFA attracts move attention than David Pastrnak. The young Bruins' star has produced immensely last season and revealed himself as a must keep player for the Bruins future. According to sources, GM Sweeney is ready to pay any price to keep the young prodigy in Boston.

The 21 years old has already 172 NHL games under the belt and produced an astonishing 123 points along the way. He exhausted his entry-level 3 years deal and his now ready for his first true contract. The amount agreed upon is still to be discovered but it's safe to say it will multiply his previous 925,000$ a year deal many times.

It will be fun to see if other GMs will try to submit hostile offer sheets just to mess with the Bruins cap!
