Not interested even if he can play forever.

Not interested even if he can play forever

We reported earlier in June that the Florida Panthers have made a stunning decision and have cut ties with National Hockey League legend Jaromir Jagr. While this is likely very disappointing to fans of the Panthers, this means that the legend can now sign with any NHL team that feels they could use his services.

Fact is, Jagr's game as really slow down over the past few years (don't blame him, he's 45!!!).

Jim Matheson is covering the Edmonton Oilers since 1972 and seems to have an insight on the rumors that were sending Jagr in Edmonton.

"Oilers likely not be interested in Jaromir Jagr even if he'll play forever, puts up 40-50 pts, could play PP. He likes to slow game down"

Even if it's true that his game slow down, the 45-year-old forward recorded 16 goals and 30 assists for 46 points in 82 games last season. It is fair to believe he will receive at least some kind of offer from a few teams prior to the begining of the next season.
