Report: Canucks have hosted veteran forward Milan Lucic.

The Canucks are unquestionably interested in bringing hometown boy Milan Lucic to Vancouver and they took the first step in that direction last night.

According to a report from ESPN insider Pierre LeBrun the Canucks hosted Lucic in Vancouver last night, and according to multiple sources the Canucks went all out in their efforts to draw Lucic to their market. Several reports have claimed that the Canucks even brought in Vancouver mayor Gregor Robinson to be a part of their sales pitch to Lucic.

The Canucks will certainly not be the only team looking to sign the tough, physical forward, and at the end of the day he may simply choose the organization that is willing to overpay, but by the sounds of things the Canucks have done their part to bring Lucic home.
