Report: Canucks lose another star to injury
Zuma Press

According to a report from Vancouver Canucks insider Dan Murphy of Sportsnet, Canucks sniper Brock Boeser is out day to day with a groin injury. He’s questionable for tomorrow night’s game against the Detroit Red Wings.

Check it out:

TG says Boeser tweaked his groin vs COL and is day to day. Questionable vs Red Wings. Tanev has a chance to play tomorrow.

Boeser had two goals in the Canucks' CRAZY 6-5 win over the Colorado Avalanche this past weekend, but evidently he tweaked his groin injury during the contest. It remains to be seen whether or not he'll miss any time.

Currently the Canucks are without the following players due to injury:

  • Brandon Sutter (shoulder)
  • Sven Baertschi (concussion)
  • Jay Beagle (fractured forearm)
  • Alex Edler (MCL sprain)
  • Anders Nilsson (fractured finger)
  • Chris Tanev (hip)

The Canucks have not made a call up from the AHL’s Utica Comets to take Boeser’s spot if it’s determined he can’t go tomorrow, but they do have veteran Darren Archibald travelling with them on their upcoming six game road trip.
