The Vancouver Canucks are off to a promising start to the season - their 11-8-3 record puts them in the first wild card spot in the Western conference. With the likes of Bo Horvat and Brock Boeser leading the way, the future is bright in BC.

The good news for Canucks fans is that there are a few prospects absolutely tearing it up overseas - including Elias PetterssonOlli Juolevi, and the focus of this article - Jonathan Dahlen.

With 18 points in only 13 games for Timra IK, the second-tier league in Sweden, Dahlen has been a force. The Canucks didn't draft the kid, as you know - rather, he was acquired in a trade that saw longtime Canuck veteran Alex Burrows head to the Ottawa Senators at last season's trade deadline.

Drafted in the 2nd round in 2016 by the Sens, Dahlen figured to be one of their top offensive prospects, and now the European joins a slew of talented overseas talent for the Canucks' organization.

Touted for his hockey sense, silky mitts and pure goal-scoring ability, there's a lot to be excited about with this one.
