Should Bergevin trade him right away?

Rookie Montreal Canadiens netminder Charlie Lindgren only allowed a goal in four periods played so far this season, and his performance doesn't go unnoticed. With Carey Price injured, it certainly gives some relief to Canadiens fans, knowing that Lindgren can do the work, for now.

Jean Charles Lajoie, Mike Bossy and Yvon Pedneault had an interesting discussion on that matter, while on air at 91.9 Sports radio station in Montreal. They talked about the possibility of trading the young goaltender to the Vegas Golden Knights, who are playing against the Canadiens tonight. They are currently dealing with injuries to goaltenders Marc-Andre Fleury, Malcom Subban and Oscar Dansk, which had made Maxime Lagace, the #4 goaltender in the organisation, playing the last four games.

«If George McPhee calls me and ask Lindgren for defenseman Shea Theodore, I would seriously consider it»

Lajoie isn't sure that Vegas are indeed interested in acquiring Lindgren, giving the fact that both Theodore and Dansk are the players they want to build around for the years to come.

Pedneault added that in his mind, Lindgren's value right now isn't higher than a second round pick. He also thinks that keeping Lindgren in Montreal can create some sort of competition, and that it would benefit both the team and Carey Price.

What do you think, Habs fans? Should Bergevin trade him right now, while he is on a hot streak?»
