One would imagine that the Blackhawks would be done making deals after a flurry of activity over the last few days that has put them right up against the salary cap, but one insider believes that may not be the case.

According to TSN insider Bob McKenzie who has been even more prescient than usual, Stan Bowman still has once ace up his sleeve, and that ace would be the possibility of trading forward Bryan Bickell in order to free up some cap space.

It would take some serious creativity, and likely even more of Chicago's depleted draft picks in order to get any team to bring Bickell on board, especially ever since the Blackhawks have effectively banished his salary to the American Hockey League, but McKenzie believes Bowman may be able to make such a deal a reality.

As for what team would be willing to take on salary for future assets McKenzie did not specify, but when thinking of teams who need assets and have the cap space to make a reality, Phoenix would appear to be a highly likely candidate, but this is mere speculation.

A player like Mikkel Boedker would be a monster addition for Chicago, and the money could be made to work out in such a scenario, the problem for Chicago is the fact they may no longer have the assets to make such a deal a reality.
