Report: Coyotes sold to NFL owner, relocation coming?
Zuma Press

According to a report from NHL insider John Shannon of Sportsnet, the Arizona Coyotes have a new majority owner, with current/past owner Andrew Barroway taking on a minority ownership stake.

Barroway has reportedly been trying to sell at least 49% of his 100% ownership in the franchise for nearly a calendar year and while the new owner has not yet been officially unveiled there are reports that  Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay will be the team’s new majority owner.

If this is in fact the case, it won’t calm speculation that the Coyotes are on the move. We already know that the Coyotes will be moving to the Central Division for the 2020-21 season with Seattle joining the league in the Pacific Division. An Arizona based team might not make sense in the midwest… but an Indianapolis team certainly does. Or… how about Houston?

Oh… also check out Irsay’s latest photo uploaded to Twitter. Notice anything?
