According to a report from Vancouver NEWS 1130 sports reporter Rick Dhaliwal, 28-year-old veteran forward Dwight King is on the verge of signing a new contract with an unnamed team in the KHL.
The former Los Angeles Kings forward won two Stanley Cups with the franchise in 2012 and 2014 before being traded to the Montreal Canadiens at the trade deadline this past season. Interestingly enough, King received some interest form the Vancouver Canucks, but apparently not enough to warrant a contract offer.
Details of his new deal to come.
