For many years an issue with the Edmonton Oilers was their defense. Even with their cornerstone pieces up front like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl their blue was often up for discussion was "struggling". It does seem like the Oilers are past this and finally have some pieces that can make their defense elite and more stable. Oscar Klefbom could be the driving force behind this.

Career high points last season for Klefbom and an unbelievable shot. It indeed seems like the Oilers have struck gold with the Swedish d-man. You can also look at Adam Larsson, Darnell Nurse as players with elite potential. Kris Russell, and Matt Benning also complement the core. What do you think about the current state of the Oilers' blue line?
