Shane Doan is Mr. Arizona/Phoenix Coyote.

The big right winger of course played all 21 years of his NHL career with the Arizona Coyotes franchise and retired in 2017 as the team's all-time leader in games played, goals, assists and points. Put simply, nobody represents the Coyotes better than Doan. He's the longest serving captain in team history and frankly when I think of the Coyotes my mind immediately goes to Doan.

Well... don't look now but Mr. Coyote may be back in the picture according to a report from NHL insider Elliotte Friedman.

Friedman reports that Doan, who is currently employed by the NHL and works alongside Senior Executive VP Colin Campbell in the NHL's Hockey Operations department, is considering joining the Coyotes' front office staff. It's unclear what exactly Doan's role would be.

Check it out:

Doan has reportedly been very successful in his role with the NHL where he works with team executives from all 32 NHL teams and helps head up the league's Competition Committee. For what it's worth, Doan doesn't seem to be just some figurehead. The guy is bright, hardworking and gets things done. Doesn't that sound exactly like the type of person the Coyotes could use at the helm right now?

Stay tuned.
