Report: Finally some good news for Bruins’ blueliner McAvoy

According to a report from Sportnet’s John Shannon, injured Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy could make his long awaited return to the lineup when his team takes on the Tampa Bay Lighting this evening.

Good news for Bruins’ fans, Charlie McAvoy will take the warm up tonight in Tampa.  If he feels good, could be in lineup tonight.

McAvoy has been out of the Bruins lineup after suffering a concussion way back on October 18th. The 20 year old blue liner has looked good in limited play this season, picking up one goal and six points in seven games.

The Bruins’ defense corps has been decimated by injuries early this season with McAvoy, Zdeno Chara, Torey Krug and Brandon Carlo all out for significant time.
