The Philadelphia Flyers have assigned defenseman Sam Morin to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL), the team announced on Monday. Morin played two games with the Flyers this season, without registering a point. He had four penalty minutes and a defensive differential of +1. 

The 6'6", 202 pounds defenseman, drafted 11th overall in 2013, spent the last two seasons working on his game at the AHL level. In 157 games, he registered 37 points (regular season and playoffs included). He also had 249 penalty minutes and a defensive differential of -5.

In ten games played in the AHL this season, the Lac-Beauport, Quebec native scored one goal and added four assists, registering 22 penalty minutes and a defensive differential of +6.
