Report: Flyers finally get some good injury news

According to a report from Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer, injured Philadelphia Flyers forward James van Riemsdyk skated ahead of his team’s practice this morning and could return to the team’s lineup ahead of schedule.

JVR skating this morning, he could return in a little over a week at the earliest.


Van Riemsdyk has been out of the team’s lineup for a month with a lower body injury after blocking a shot from Colorado Avalanche defensemen Mark Barberio.

The 29 year old power forward has played just two games for the Flyers this season, scoring one assist. Van Riemsdyk signed a five year, $35 million deal with the Flyers, the team who drafted him 2nd overall over ten years ago, this past offseason.
