Report: Flyers to make a risky swap in goal.

Risky but understandable move from the Flyers.

They don't have very much choice in the matter, but the Flyers probably don't feel great about making this move.

An early report from Philadelphia Flyer's insider Sam Carchidi has suggested that goaltender Michael Neuvirth will play his first game in nearly two months , and the first since he underwent corrective knee surgery earlier in the season.

Despite a strong showing through 32 games last season Neuvirth was a disaster in his first 9 appearences of the 2016-2017 campaign for the Flyers. Despite a winning record over those appearances Neuvirth has an 8.59 save percentage on the season and a 3.54 goals against average and he will need to do much better if the Flyers hope to turn around their current slump in form.

On the positive side this will give workhorse Steve Mason some time to rest after a rough outing of his own.
