The Vancouver Canucks might have some help soon, as forward Brendan Gaunce his pretty close to be back in action. The 23-year forward spent the last six months recovering from his shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum. Vancouver would welcome him with arms wide open, as they are dealing with a lot of injury right now. Defenseman Alex Edler and forward Loui Eriksson are both sidelined long term, what makes the Canucks sit one man under the 23 player limit.
Gaunce has been skated for the last five weeks, and he could be back in action, in the NHL or at the AHL level, as soon as this week.
Vancouver drafted him 26th overall in 2012. In 77 games played with the Canucks, he registered six points. He added 70 points in 124 games.
