According to a report from online tabloid TMZ, former NHL goaltender and Stanley Cup champion Ray Emery has been arrested for assault with a weapon for a 2016 incident involving then-fiancee Keshia Chante.

Chante, a pop singer and TV host, is also reportedly seeking a restraining order against the 35-year-old former NHLer. According to TMZ Emery was arrested September 18th, in Hamilton and officially charged with assault with a weapon and uttering a threat.
