Report: former NHL executive reveals his future plans
Keystone Press

The NHL named former Anaheim Ducks, Florida Panthers and Montreal Canadiens enforcer George Parros as the new head of the league’s Department of Player Safety on Thursday.

Parros replaces Stephane Quintal, who is stepping down to pursue other opportunities within hockey but is staying on this season to help with the transition.

And we know now more about what Quintal hopes to do in the future. In an interview on a Montreal French radio, 91,9 Sports, the former defenseman revealed that he "absolutely wants to work for a team in the NHL".

Quintal would be interested in climbing up the ladder with the Canadiens and becoming an assistant to Habs general manager Marc Bergevin.

Stay tuned!
