It has been quite an interesting week for the Detroit Red Wings, who have finally strung together a series of five games in a row where they've earned points in every single contest. They won three consecutively and lost twice in overtime recently, as a hot streak of eight out of a possible 10 points could offer them momentum heading into their Atlantic Division matchup against the Boston Bruins tonight.  

Deprived of the services of Thomas Vanek and Dylan Larkin for at least one game, the Red Wings will rely on the recently-waived Drew Miller to feature in tonight's lineup as they proceeded to recall the veteran forward yesterday:




While he initially reported to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins, the 32-year-old has been slated to take Steve Ott's place on the fourth line, as the latter is suffering from a shoulder injury keeping him sidelined on the injured reserve. 


There was no practice skate this morning in Boston, though the assumption is that the forward lines will remain relatively the same as will the defensive pairings while Jared Coreau gets the nod:
