Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen continues to impress this season with the Maple Leafs! He has an impressive record of 16-8-1 with three shutouts in 25 games so far. He has a 2.66 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage.

What's even more impressive is that Andersen seems to be even better when he faces a lot of shots! He faced 40 shots or more five times this season, and his record is 4-0-1 in these games.

Wednesday, against the Calgary Flames, he made 47 saves in a 2-1 shootout win. Andersen has won four of his last five starts!

His performances help the young Maple Leafs to improve their defensive games, as head coach Mike Babcock has still work to do with his young group of forwards.

Drafted twice in the NHL (187th by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2010 and 87th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in 2012), the Danish netminder has started 216 games in the NHL, and he owns an overall record of 126-50-27 (13 shutouts) with a 2.48 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage.

He was acquired via trade by the Leafs in the summer of 2016 for two draft picks (first round pick in 2016 and second round pick in 2017).

What do you think, Leafs fans? Is he the MVP so far this year?
