Report: Frk is injured
Keystone Press

Detroit Red Wings forward Martin Frk has been ruled out of Wednesday's game, Detroit head coach Jeff Blashill confirmed on Tuesday. The 24-year old forward is dealing with a lower-body injury. Blashill believes he will miss at least a week. In 18 games this season, Frk has registered nine points.

Frk was drafted 49th overall by the Red Wings in 2012. He earned a regular spot in the lineup this season, and he was doing well. Before the 18 games he played this season, he played three seasons at both the ECHL/AHL level. The Carolina Hurricanes claimed him off waivers on October 9, 2016, but the Wings claimed him back again a couple of weeks later. In 65 games with Grand Rapids (AHL) last season, he registered 50 points.

Let's hope he's not gone for too long. He was doing well in his first full season in the show.
