National Hockey League fans are embracing the three on three format of the overtime now in place for the past few seasons. But more adjustments may be needed...

On Friday, NHL general managers met in Montreal to celebrate the league's 100th anniversary, but to also discuss a few hot issues.

According to TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie, GMs have talked about a major rule change to overtime that is doomed to create controversy. The general managers would be talking about changing the length of a minor penalty that occurs in OT, going from the usual two minutes to one minute in the box.

The GMs have not decided yet on that rule modification as a lot more needs to be taken into consideration.

However, we can expect the proposal change to create some controversy and division between the league's GMs.

What's your position? Do you want to see this rule change take place?
