The Las Vegas Golden Knights were the only professional sports franchise in Las Vegas, until they weren't.

On Monday the Oakland Raiders officially confirmed that they were in fact moving their franchise to Las Vegas. While the National Hockey League has always maintained that a potential move from the Raiders would have no impact on their franchise in Vegas, owner Bill Foley's comments today however appear to suggest otherwise.

"If I had complete control, I would have rather the Raiders would not have been here. But I didn't, so welcome. Bring em on."

Initially Foley's concern seemed to be coming from a taxpayer's point of view and with a $750 million dollar price tag, his concerns do make sense.

"I felt like there are a lot better ways to spend $750 mil than bringing the Raiders to Las Vegas."

Foley's concerns may be for more than just the taxpayer though, Steve Carp of the Las Vegas Review-Journal spoke to Foley today and according to him Foley did admit that it would now be harder for the Golden Knights to secure corporate sponsorship.
