The Montreal Canadiens will be without one of their top forwards for at least a little while longer.

After it was initially reported on Tuesday that Alexander Radulov was ill, there were still some hopes that he would be ready to go that night against the Panthers, but now it appears his condition is much worse than was previously expected.

A report from Habs insider Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports has revealed that Radulov will not be traveling with the Montreal Canadiens to Raleigh, North Carolina to take on the Hurricanes,. Furthermore there is now doubt about whether or not he will be good to go Saturday when the Habs face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Head coach Michel Therrien did say that a return for Saturday was possible, but would not commit to that, so we'll likely know more later in the week. It's still unclear what exactly Radulov has contracted.
