Chicago Blackhawks sophomore Gustav Forsling seems to be having a little more puck luck this season, with three assists already in just four games, a marked improvement on his three in 38 games last season. However, the puck didn’t treat him so well in Tuesday’s game against the Montreal Canadiens.
The 21-year-old defenseman took a puck to the mouth and was cut badly in the team’s 3-1 victory. According to Chicago Sun Times reporter Mark Lazerus, Forsling was cut for nearly 15 stitches. Ouch.
