The Chicago Blackhawks have announced they've assigned goaltender Jeff Glass and forwards Kyle Baun and Alexandre Fortin to their American Hockey League’s affiliate team, the Rockford IceHogs

Glass, 31, played 22 games in the AHL last season with the Toronto Marlies and Rockford, winning 11 games, losing nine while recording a 0.915 save percentage and a GAA of 2.34. Canadian hockey fans may remember him from the team's powerhouse gold medal winning squad from the 2005 World Junior Championships in North Dakota.

Baun, 25, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Hawks in 2015, registered 34 points in 74 games played with Rockford last season.

Fortin, 20, was invited for training camp last year after being undrafted, and did well enough to earn himself a contract. In 52 games played with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (QMJHL) he registered 52 points.

There are now 37 players left on the training camp roster: 20 forwards, 13 defensemen and four goaltenders.

Chicago’s next preseason game will be Monday, as they’ll face the Boston Bruins
