While the expression “tough challenge lies ahead” is often used and abused in the National Hockey League, the Detroit Red Wings are certainly going to have their hands full when they take on the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow evening at the Wells Fargo Center.

 

The Red Wings seem to have a hard time beating the Flyers, who are undefeated through 11 home games against Jeff Blashill’s troops. Detroit has been outscored 48-20, according to MLive.com, and their poor record might explain why Blashill is staying mum regarding certain aspects of tomorrow night’s game.

 

While it was reported earlier that goaltender Petr Mrazek would surely get the nod against the Flyers, Blashill was quick to dismiss that notion. He even went so far as to not reveal the defensive pairings he intends on using tomorrow, which indicates that he might not want to give away his game plan.
