Report: Help on the way for Pens?

Some potentially good news for a team that’s reeling a bit.

According to a report from Pens Inside Scoop, the Pittsburgh Penguins’ official website reporters, defensemen Matt Hunwick and Justin Schultz are both skating and could join the team at some point during their Western Conference road trip which continues tonight in Edmonton against the Edmonton Oilers.

Both Hunwick and Schultz are out of the lineup with concussions, so there’s really no telling exactly when they’ll be back in the lineup. But, reading between the lines it looks as if the pair may be symptom free. Once cleared, they’ll provide a huge boost to the Pens blue line.

The Penguins have dropped two in a row, including a 7-1 stomping from the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday night. The team’s only two wins in the past five games have come in OT, so they should have plenty of motivation for tonight’s game against the Oilers.
