Report: Hockey Canada to shut down minor/youth leagues

According to NHL insider Darren Dreger or TSN, Hockey Canada held a conference call today to determine whether or not its federations should continue to operate given the evolving coronavirus outbreak and the mass hysteria surrounding it.

And in fact one federation, and a large one at that, has elected to shut down its 2019-20 season. Hockey Quebec has confirmed that it will cease all minor hockey activities until further notice.
Don’t be surprised if the rest of the country’s programs follow suit in the coming days.
