The Pittsburgh Penguins' loss was more than just on the scoreboard against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night. Patric Hornqvist caught a puck to the face after a pass was redirected hard in his direction.

“It’s scary,” said Brian Dumoulin to Sam Werner of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “That was a hard pass up the middle. Those deflections, they’re tough to react to. Hopefully he’s OK, and everything’s fine. I haven’t spoken to him yet. It’s scary. I just wish the best for him.”

Mike Sullivan had no update following the game and the team has yet to issue a diagnosis. As it stands, things don't look good for Hornqvist.

Hornqvist has 20 points in 28 games this year. He's on the final season of his contract and there's a lot of debate on whether or not Jim Rutherford will be able to re-sign him in the off-season.

**UPDATE** Morning skate just began and thankfully, there is great news on the Hornqvist front.

Breathe easy, Pittsburgh.
