Some interesting news at practice.

The Montreal Canadiens were without their top player at each position on Thursday night and it did not bode well for them in the 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild.

Those players, as we know, are Carey Price, Shea Weber, and Jonathan Drouin.

The latter two appear poised to return to the lineup tonight against the Buffalo Sabres after taking part in morning skate, on their regular lines.

Now - Weber and Drouin both appeared to be okay to play the last game against the Wild before unexpectedly being scratched prior to puck drop, so until Claude Julien confirms that they are indeed ready to go, we'll be cautiously optimistic.

They both sit second on the team in points with 11 apiece in 16 games played.

Stay tuned for the official word.
