Report: Insider claims Habs players are trying to push Bergevin out the door
Keystone Press

This is no secret: the Montreal Canadiens are not having the start to the 2017-18 season they were looking for...  A lot of changes took place during the summer, and some modifications don't sit well with the players.

The Habs, who have yet to record their first regulation win, are struggling both offensively and defensively, and the latter is explained by many by the absence of veteran blue liner Andrei Markov, who did not receive a contract extension during the offseason.

According to Journal de Montreal reporter Rejean Tremblay, the Habs players are not happy with the decision that GM Marc Bergevin took in regards to Markov and might be looking for revenge by pushing him out the door.

On the air of Quebec's Radio X, Tremblay added Bergevin had made up his mind on Markov a long time ago, that he was too old and would not be back with the club.

If the Canadiens continue on their losing streak, it might be time for a management change, which it seems would make the players happier than they are now...
