Is it worth it?  The price of playoff tickets increase!

The Toronto Maple Leafs are finally in the playoffs after three years of trying.  Though it seems that some are taking advantage of loyal Leafs fans with their ticket prices for playoffs this year.  It might even be cheaper for fans to take a trip to D.C. for an away game than to see a home playoff game.

However, if you are set on attending a game in Toronto, it can definitely dent your wallet.  The cheapest seat at the moment on Ticketmaster for the Leafs’first home game is $333.  The most expensive is an outrageous $1147, but even then you will find even more pricey seats on  different websites.  Remember that these prices don’t include your taxi to the game and your beer once you get there.  At these prices it might be better to watch the game from the comfort of your own home, or of course on the big screen outside of the Air Canada Centre.

These ticket prices are absolutely unnecessary, the price of a ticket in the nose-bleeds in D.C. is a modest $45.  Combine that with your average hotel and gas and the total amounts to about $300, if you split it with a friend.  Can someone say road trip?
