Report: Jack Eichel demoted!

The Buffalo Sabres are in the midst of another disappointing season, quarter way through.

One player that has surprisingly failed to meet expectations, after signing a monster contract - is Jack Eichel.

With only 5 goals in 20 games, head coach Phil Housley needs more out of his star player, and has finally decided to send a little message to kick Eichel in the butt.

The lines at practice this morning show that Eichel will likely start on the third line for the Sabres when they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight. 

Now, Eichel does have 16 points, so it isn't like he's not producing - but he has been gliding and coasting lately, and hasn't been playing his best hockey.

Hopefully this demotion to the third line will give him the jolt he needs to be the superstar that we all know he is.
