When Chicago Blackhawks superstar Patrick Kane broke into the NHL he had benefit of relying on fellow youngsters like Jonathan Toews, Kris Versteeg and Andrew Ladd to help lighten the load. He also had the help of veteran talent like Marian Hossa and Patrick Sharp later on in his early career. It appears that the now 28-year-old will look to pay forward some of the veteran advice he received with some Hawks youngsters this offseason.

According to CSN Chicago reporter Charlie Roumeliotis, the Hawks sniper has been training with some of his younger teammates and hoping to impart some veteran leadership. Check it out:

Hartman and Hinostroza should be both big parts of the Hawks’ offense in 2017-18. If they can raise their game anywhere close to the level of Kane’s, Hawks coaching and management staff would be ecstatic. The pair of sophomores impressed in their first full seasons of play with the Hawks last year and will be expected to take a step forward next season. Hartman, the team’s 1st round pick of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft scored 19 goals and 31 points in 76 games in 2016-17. He’ll be expected to hit 20+ goals and 40+ points in 2017-18. As for Hinostroza, the hometown kid played just 49 games for the Hawks in 2016-17, racking up six goals and 14 points. Watch for him to hit 10 goals and 25+ points in 2017-18 in a more regular role.
