Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith has been on the shelf for several days now with a bug.
Head coach Joel Quenneville does not seem too concerned, but the team's top defenseman has missed several practices this week, including today's.
Illness doesn't keep hockey players out too often, and when they do, it's usually for a game or so, but considering how many practices Keith has been absent for, it may be a more serious bug than the team is letting on.
Keith did participate in the team's matchup on Wednesday against the New York Rangers, but his status for Saturday's tilt against the Pittsburgh Penguins is up in the air.
We'll keep you posted as his condition is updated by the team.
