The Toronto Maple Leafs have three members of their core group sent to hit the free agent market this summer and unless they have some master plan in place it seems unlikely that they could afford to lose all three of them at once.

The three names set to be unrestricted free agent are Tyler BozakLeo Komarov, and of course James van Riemsdyk. Despite the fact that we are now over a third of the way into the National Hockey League season, none of these players has signed a new deal and in fact they may not even be close.

Davig Pagnotta of The Fourth Period is reporting that no progress at all has been made in negotiations with any of these players and with all three of them likely seeking a significant raise that could prove to be troublesome.

However Pagnotta is also reporting that all three players met to discuss the situation at some point in November and it appears that none o them are particularly concerned with the process at this time.

It must be noted that the reason the Leafs have not signed any of them to new deals may be because they wish to see what kind of interest each player will fetch closer to the trade deadline.

One thing seems certain though, the Leafs roster will be missing one or more of these names come the start of next season.
