Report: Leafs Make Goaltending Changes

The Toronto Maple Leafs have proceeded to make an important change between the pipes earlier today. 


After playing in an uninspired six games this season as Frederik Andersen's backup, Jhonas Enroth has been sent down to the Toronto Marlies, the Leafs' American Hockey League affiliate. In all, Enroth posted a 0-3-1 record, along with a whopping 3.94 goals-against average and a .872 save percentage. 


Slated to take his place is 22-year-old goalie Antoine Bibeau, who played in only a single game during the 2016-2017 regular season thus far but managed to impress with a 2.11 goals-against average and .929 save percentage. Unfortunately, the hulking netminder suffered a loss in his only start which came against the Colorado Avalanche on December 11th. 




James Mirtle of The Athletic believes that Bibeau should get his second career NHL start either against the Avalanche once more or the Arizona Coyotes:
