It probably won't do much to change public perception of Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane, but he did receive some good news today.

According to a report from Ashley Rowe of ABC 7 News, the harassment and trespassing case against Kane will be adjourned for the purpose of eventually being dismissed, provided he meet the conditions of an Adjournment in Contemplation of Dismissal, also known as an ACD.

From Rowe's report:

"An ACD is an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal. The defendant needs to meet the terms of the ACD and, at the end of the agreed upon period, if the terms are met, the case gets dismissed. If the terms are violated, the ACD is revoked."

This effectively mean if Kane can behave himself he will walk away a free man, but if his past behavior is any past indication, that may be easier said than done.
