Report: Major update in Matthews' condition

The Toronto Maple Leafs are hopeful... According to TSN, good news might be on the way concerning their star player Auston Matthews. 

Head coach Mike Babcock confirmed that Matthews, who has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury, skated before Monday's practice and is scheduled to skate again today. Though he did not skate with his teammates, this is a good sign. 

If all goes well, Matthews will practice on Wednesday, possibly with the rest of the team, before a decision on his status for Thursday's game against the New Jersey Devils is made.

The last time Matthews skated with teammates was in last Monday's win against the Vegas Golden Knights.
