Report: Maple Leafs cut three of their former draft picks, one will re-enter the draft.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have made a very surprising decision, although given their current crop of young players it is an understandable one.

Michael Augello of Hockey Buzz has  reported that the Maple Leafs have allowed the rights of Fabrice HerzogStephen Desrocher and Nikita Korostelev to expire, effectively releasing all three men.

While both Herzong, a 22-year-old right winger, and Desrocher, a 21-year-old left shooting defenseman, will become free agents as a result of this move, Korostelev, a 20-year-old right winger, is reportedly going to re-enter the NHL draft.

It's unclear at this time if rival NHL teams have interest in any of these three players.
